Monday FunDay!!

Being back home after a weekend away always makes me realize how fortunate I am to live in such an amazing place :)  I got up this morning at 6:30 to make it to the 7am WOD at my gym.  It was a fun workout with a total of 300 meters of walking lunges, 60 meters of handstand walks and 150 (35lb) kettle bell swings.  I quickly headed home to make breakfast for friends who were in town from Vacaville, Mel & Dave.  They brought some delicious bacon from their farmer's market and I made a Southwestern Frittata again.  Sorry I couldn't help it, I love it and its perfect for entertaining!

After breakfast my friend Scott came over and we headed out on the boat for some wakeboarding!  JD bought a new wakeboard a few weeks ago so we need to go out as much as possible before it snows!  The weather was perfect today, a high of 80 degrees and pretty much no wind.

You should also check out the video of JD tearing it up on facebook.  When we got back home I took the kids on a bike ride to the Taylor Creek Visitor Center.  We had a picnic lunch and then went for a hike to see the Kokanee Salmon spawning!

Lucas had some turkey, cheese & carrots while Peyton chowed on some sardines....I swear that girl loves salt!

After the Visitor Center we headed back to Pope Beach for some swimming.

Then a quick bike ride back home to get ready for gymnastics class at the Tot Spot.  On the way home from gymnastics I asked the kids what they wanted for dinner and Peyton said she wanted broccoli & sausage soup...and she wanted some tomatoes cut up in it.  So I fulfilled her  Lucas is now figuring out what he wants for dinner tomorrow night....we shall see :)
